Thumb Spica Splint

The Thumb Spica Splint immobilises the thumb and wrist in proper alignment, holding the thumb in the functional abduction position that protects the joint while it heals. It's prescribed for thumb sprains, ligament injuries, simple fractures, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, and arthritis flare-ups at the carpometacarpal joint — any condition where controlled immobilisation reduces pain and prevents further damage. The fingers stay free throughout, so daily essentials like writing, eating, and using a phone remain possible during recovery.

A reinforced malleable splint runs along the thumb and wrist, and can be moulded by hand for a closer anatomical fit. Two adjustable hook-and-loop straps secure the splint firmly on either the left or right hand, while the soft inner lining stays comfortable across long wear without rubbing or causing pressure points. The breathable fabric prevents heat buildup, making it wearable through extended healing periods.
